Sin duda, la gran protagonista, junto al Safety Car, que casi se convirtió en el coche que más tiempo se mantuvo en cabeza de carrera...

El agua se convirtió en Canadá en la principal protagonista de una carrera que estuvo suspendida por la lluvia más de dos horas y en la que acabó imponiéndose Button en la última vuelta, por delante de Vettel y Webber. Alonso, por su parte, no pudo acabar la prueba.

Cuando el coche mejor estaba rodando en seco llegó la primera carrera en mojado del año y la estrategia con la predicción de la lluvia de Ferrari no funcionó. Luego se produjo el toque con Button.

Fernando Alonso explicó su incidente con Button, que le obligó a abandonar el Gran Premio de Canadá. "Íbamos a la par, habrá medido mal y me ha llevado por delante y ahí ha acabado la carrera. Son condiciones siempre difíciles, resbaladizas y he llevado la peor parte yo".
